2016 WTPD Online Conference - November 8
With past WTPD conferences, the organizing committee would circulate a call for papers, which would go through a vetting process and would be presented over a 3-day international web-conference. However, this year we are planning something very different. We will use the online WTPD Conference as a platform for our respective organizations and planners to share knowledge and learn from each other, in a live broadcast format spanning 24 hours.
This year’s conference will consist of a series of seminar sessions hosted by the planning organizations. Each session will be seamlessly streamed from all around the world through an application called Periscope. The broadcasts will be scheduled on a 24-hour timetable, on November 8th (in your local time zone) and will be in English only.
Participate in the broadcast!
We invite your organization to participate in this conference by organizing a session (or more), to be broadcast live, which focusses on planning topics or themes that are important in your region. You may choose from amongst the following types of sessions:
- A keynote speaker
- A panel discussion

A series of three or four speakers on a given topic:
An informal discussion
Any other event that your organization has planned in honor of World Town Planning Day
The session format is adaptable to your requirements and each session can be between 30 and 60 minutes. We encourage the organizations to submit a variety of sessions and topics.
