Manitoba Planning Conference Call for Presentations

The Call for Presentations for the 2022 Manitoba Planning Conference is now open!

The theme selected for this year’s conference being held in May/early June 2022 is Recovery and Resilience: Reimagining the possibilities for planning and the future.

What does it mean to recover and be resilient? Planning, as a profession, is ideally placed to offer support in times of difficulty. The disruption of dominant paradigms offers a chance to develop new solutions to old problems, and creates imperatives to plan for future challenges. When executed correctly, recovery can go above and beyond, creating a more prosperous future than was previously possible. How can planning make a difference following challenges and uncertainty?

The Manitoba Planning Conference Programming Committee is interested to hear your answers to these questions—innovation, new insights, challenging perspectives, diverse voices, new tools, and tactics. We encourage you to read through the Call (attached) and consider applying. You must submit your proposal in accordance with the requirements outlined on Pages 3 and 4 and send to Rayson Wong via email at by January 7, 2022 to be considered. Feel free to forward to others who may be interested in preparing a presentation for a concurrent session at the conference. We also continue to be open to suggestions for Keynote Speakers or presentations, please submit ideas and contact information at your earliest convenience.
