MPPI is committed to providing and informing members about upcoming events that are relevant to planners. Opportunities for members to learn about issues in the field include hosting regular breakfast seminars, hosting speakers, and promoting educational opportunities through the annual Manitoba Planning Conference. MPPI also organizes a learning opportunity in conjunction with its Annual General Meeting.
Events are advertised through the MPPI e-news. Many will be eligible for Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) credit and the number of Learning Units associated with the event will be noted.
If an event does not have assigned Learning Units, it is up to each member to determine if an event or activity has learning value for them and if they want to report it for learning credit. Members should refer to the CPL Guide to determine the number of Learning Units associated with a type of learning activity/event.
